GMST is a Summer Only swim team that begins on Memorial Day and concludes its season at the end of July. Registration begins each March, and anyone can join our team at any time during the summer. Ages 4 - 18 are welcome!

How to Register:

Each year, we hold a new parent information session. During this session in May, parents and coaches will be on hand to answer any questions about the team and what to expect for the summer. Check out the "News" and "Calendar" sections for the dates of this session. The information packet from our 2024 New parent meeting can be found under About Us-->Important Documents.

You can register anytime for the team by clicking on the square that says "Click here for Online Registration" in the upper right hand corner of this website. Registration includes information on your swimmer, contact information, and the acknowledgement of consents and releases. 

Swim Team Fees:

Our swim team is financially supported by swim team fees and fund raising.  We are privileged to be able to swim in one of the finest facilities in the Greater Knoxville Area. The Team is responsible for all expenses including coaching salaries, pool rental from Green Meadow Country Club, supplies and equipment to run our swim meets such as starting equipment, team computer and software, scorekeeping supplies, award ribbons, purchase and repair of our team tent, meet entry fees, paper and copy supplies, and items for team parties and pep rallies. Fundraisers are used to help keep fees to a minimum. 100% of dues and funds raised through fundraisers are used to operate the team and provide the best possible experience for your swimmer.

**GMCC Club members and Summer Social members receive $75 off of their fees (except when swimmers are senior swimmers) as an agreement with GMCC. Thank you for being club members!

Swim Meets: 

As part of GKAISA, we have the following meets each year, which are scheduled in late March and posted in the Meets section. All fees and expenses to enter and run the meets are covered with your fees. All meets are voluntary and we will ask swimmers to sign up for them prior to the meet, with last call for signups occurring a few days prior to the meet. Please ensure you communicate early if any changes occur as the lineup for swim meets is a very time consuming process to make changes to! 

• Interclub meet- "Green & White Meet" to prepare for the season. 
• Dual meets with other teams in our league- There are 4 other teams in our league. Meets are generally held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, with warmups around 4:00 or 4:30 and the meet beginning at 5:30. In 2024, 3 of these meets will be at our home pool and one will be at Beaver Brook Country Club in the Halls area. 
• Smoky Mountain Invitational- This is a non-USA swimmer meet designed to provide an opportunity for summer swimmers to shine.  It is weekend-long event held at Springbrook Pool in Alcoa.
• GKAISA City Meet Championship Meet- This is the championship meet and last meet of our season. A great way for swimmers to show off their skills and improvements from the season. Held in July at the Allen Jones Aquatic Center on UT's campus. Swimmers must swim in 1 other official dual meet during the 2024 season to qualify to attend. (Green & White does not count to qualify for City)

*For the 2024 Season the GKAISA City Meet Championship will be held earlier than normal (July 11-13) due to a planned renovation of the Allan Jones Aquatic Center. For this reason, only one dual meet swim will be necessary to qualify to compete at City Meet.
