We are very excited about our coaching staff. They bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to our program. All of our coaches have participated in Summer League and USA programs. Among our staff, we have former GKAISA Champions and record holders, Southeastern Champions, Jr. and Sr. National Qualifiers, Olympic Trial Qualifiers, and National Team Members, as well as All-Americans and Academic All-Americans. They are all excited and looking forward to working with your swimmers!

Sam Tate

Coach Sam swam for Green Meadow from 2010-2021 and has been a coach since 2018. Sam also swam for Prime Aquatics for 10 years. In his time at Prime, he was a Southeastern Champion, Junior National Qualifier, and NISCA All-American. He just finished his junior year swimming at Berry College where he is majoring in Business Management with a minor in Economics. Sam is looking forward to another great season. 

Matt Bales: Coach Matt is a former GMST Head Coach who will be stepping in to help when able. You just can't keep Coach Matt away from the Green Wave!

Emerson Kidd-Benthall: Coach Emerson has been swimming summer league for the last 14 years, the last 4 of which have been at Green Meadow. She swam for Prime Aquatics and Maryville High School. She just finished her Sophomore year at UT and is excited to return to the staff as an assistant coach.

Olivia Hancock: Coach Olivia swam summer league with GMST for 5 years, in addition to that she swam for William Blount and Heritage's High School swim team. She just finished her Freshman year at UT and hopes to graduate with her BSN. Olivia is looking forward to another great year of coaching!

Suz Holbrook: Coach Suz and her swimmers Blithe (10) and Braddock (12) are newer to Green Meadow after moving to the area in 2021, but you have probably already seen the Holbrooks on deck. Suz is passionate about teaching kids to swim. She grew up swimming competitively and as a young adult spent several years coaching both swimming and diving in the French West Indies. Coach Suz will be especially helpful with our younger swimmers as they learn to dive properly. 

Joseph Tomlinson: Coach Joseph has just finished his Freshman year at The University of South Carolina and has swam year round in Cincinnati for the last five years. He is looking forward to coaching his first summer season for Green Meadow and getting to know the team!

India Bramblett: India has been a part of GMST since 2013! She was a Jr. Coach for 3 years and is excited to come back as a high school coach for the second summer. She's looking forward to seeing the growth of swimmers this year!

Nathaniel Dutton: Nathaniel has been swimming for nine years and has been at Green Meadow since he was 10. He is a rising high school senior and is excited to return as a coach this year.

Emma Meyer: Emma has been swimming for 10 years and has swam for Green Meadow since she was 12. She also coached and swam last year for Green Meadow. Next year, she will be continuing her swim career at Centre College. 

Keegan Rutledge: Keegan has been swimming for GMST since she was 7, for Prime Aquatics for 3 years and on Maryville High School swim team. Starting as a Jr. Coach she is now returning for her third summer as a high school assistant coach.

Carson Coker: Carson has been swimming for Green Meadow for 3 summers and year-round swims with Prime Aquatics and Alcoa High School Swim and Dive. She is excited to be a part of the the coaching staff this year!

Grace Klepatz: Grace started swimming competitively in 2021 for Green Meadow. She also swims for Prime Aquatics and Maryville High School. Grace is excited to be a new edition to the GMST coaching staff this summer.

Kate Hornback: Kate has been swimming for GMST for 11 years and prime for 10. She also swims for MHS. This is her first year coaching and she is looking forward to coaching this summer!

Madelyn Carpenter: Madelyn has been swimming on GMST for 6 years. She has been swimming year around for 7 years and swims for MHS. She is excited to be coaching this summer!
