We had a great first week of practice and we are looking forward to a fantastic summer. Our coaches have been working hard to prepare our swimmers for success.  Remember, we are working on improving our times, learning legal strokes, and racing against the clock.  Below is a list of reminders for the upcoming week.

Green and White Meet

Our first opportunity to race will be in the Green vs. White Intersquad meet on Thursday, June 9th.  We will divide up the teams and have Coach Kelly's (Green) team versus Coach John's (White) team.  I have heard that if John's team loses, he will have to cook all next week​.  Warm-ups will be at 4:45 and we will go through several events including a coach's/parents relay.  Please declare your intention to participate in the meet by Monday at noon.  This meet is also a great opportunity for parents to practice as finish judges, timers, runners, tent parents, and the other jobs needed to successfully complete a swim meet.  You can register for the meet or sign-up to work on-line or talk to Coach Kelly at practice on Monday.  Please remember, if you sign-up, show-up. 

New Parent Meeting

We will have a new parent meeting on Thursday morning to review some of the ins and outs of the swim season for those families that are new to swimming and Green Meadow.  We will discuss volunteer positions, events that will be swum, what to bring to the meet, and what to expect as a swim parent.  We will meet on the back patio at 10:30 so please join us for a brief time to prepare ourselves for swim meets and to ask any questions about the season.

Bathing Suits and Equipment

Swim and Tri will be at the pool on Thursday before and during our meet to allow swimmers to order suits, get equipment, and make any purchases for the season.

Pool Party

Our first social event will be a pool party for our 10 and under swimmers this Friday, June 10th.  We will provide pizza and we will be ready to play and form relationships with our teammates.  Bring your suit and a 2 liter drink and a snack to share for a fun time from 5:30-7:30 pm.
