We are in full swing at Green Meadow and want to communicate some things for Week #3 of 9.  The motto we have developed for our coaching staff this year is GBED.  We as coaches, parents, and swimmers want to Get Better Every Day (GBED) and we are striving to communicate better, be more organized, and work harder to prepare your children to thrive.  This Thursday your swimmers will have an opportunity to showcase the things they are learning and to have some fun as we compete against our times and Concord Hills.  As part of our meet entries, we will attempt to enter swimmers into 4 events which will include at least 1 relay.   

Week #2 Recap

Last week we had some fun with the Green and White meet where the White team was victorious over the Green Team.  We believe the swimmers and parents got a glimpse of what our swim meets will be like and send our thanks for how well our parents are stepping up and volunteering.  Keep up the good work!  We also had our first fun day this past Friday and played some games in addition to getting in good workout and worked to improve on lessons we learned as a part of our intrasquad meet.  On Friday evening we had a fun pool party with the 10 and under swimmers and look forward to our other upcoming social events.  These social events are a great time to get to know your coaches, other parents, and fellow swimmers that are swimming for Green Meadow.

Week #3 Overview

This week we have a swim meet on Thursday and will have fun day on Friday, in addition to our normal practice schedule.  There will be no evening practices on Thursday due to our meet.

Concord Hills

This Thursday, June 16th we have a home swim meet against Concord Hills at GMCC.  Warm-ups will start at 4:30 and the meet will begin at 5:30.  Please let us know whether you will attend or not attend the meet by Monday at noon so that we can be ready for the meet on Thursday.  You can register on-line or declare your intentions with the old-school sign-up pages posted at GMCC.  Also, parents don't forget to volunteer for the meet as well since we will need lots of workers to insure an exciting meet for all participants.  We would encourage all swimmers to enter the meet since this is the best part of summer swimming and a great opportunity to try new things. 

Fun Friday

Since we have a meet on Thursday night, we will have fun day during Friday morning's practice.  We will once again work for part of the time and then have some games for the swimmers.  We will also have doughnuts for sale for $1 each to benefit new equipment purchases for the team.

Team Gear

Our Green Meadow Swimming shirts have arrived and are ready to be picked up.  If you pre-ordered a shirt, stop by the office Monday and we will deliver these to you and your swimmers.  Please have them wear their shirts to the meet on Thursday and wear green to support our team for our competition against Concord Hills.
