Great first week! We hope you and your swimmers have had a great week (although that first day may have been a little chaotic!!) We've been working this week on ensuring your child is in the right spot and getting to know each one of them, so please be patient as we continue to get everything up and running. Also remember that as the season continues and your swimmers get stronger, they may swim a little bit more and a little bit longer. We don't want to tire them out on the first week! 

Our senior swimmers have been busy thinking about the fun events for the summer. One thing we love to do is to have a little fun on Fridays. If you are planning to come to swim practice tomorrow morning, it's Tie-Dye day! If you want to dress up in your favorite tie-dye shirt, or maybe just a bright color, we'll have a little fun during our stretching time with that. Themes for the next week will be posted on the bulletin board by Monday. There will also be DONUTS for sale at the pool for $1 per donut. We'll still be having practice, but try to have extra fun on Fridays! 

Meet Sign-ups are Open!
We will be using the same software as the team registration to do meet sign-ups and volunteer sign-ups online. You can now sign your swimmers up for meets online, RSVP for other summer activities, and pick your volunteer positions for each of the meets on our website. Remember- all meets are completely voluntary but we do love to see all of our swimmers compete- they are so fun! Registration for the June 8th Green & White meet will close on Monday, June 5th. 

Go to www.gmstswim.org. In the upper right hand corner, you will see "Sign-In". If you enter the email address you used to sign-up your swimmer, your initial password is "swimming" (all lowercase). Once you sign-in, you can click the upper right hand "Actions" tab to change your password to whatever you want. 

After you sign-in to your account, you will then be able to change details for your swimmer such as email addresses, phone numbers, etc, by clicking on "Actions" and then "Parent Page". On this page you can RSVP for the various events and sign-up to volunteer at a meet. When you are logged in, you can also see the team roster. 

You can also RSVP or volunteer for meets by clicking on "Swim Meets" while you are logged in and clicking on the links to sign-up from there. 

Remember: Meet registration will be taken down at a stated time a few days prior to the meet. For the Green & White Meet on June 8th, registration will close on Monday, June 5th. If your child swims in a meet, you will need to volunteer to work at least 1 shift during that meet. If you need help understanding what the various positions are, there are plenty that require no knowledge or skills and are easy to do!
