Green and White Meet
I hope everyone is getting excited about our intrasquad meet tomorrow! Attached are the Green vs White Teams. The coaches and swimmers have been divided up as Green Team or White Team. Swimmers should be ready to cheer on their team! The meet starts at 5:30, but swimmers should be there and checked in at 4:45. Warmups for 10 & Unders start at 5 and the 11 & Ups will follow. If your child is 6 or under we ask that they do not participate in warmups to ensure that things run smoothly and efficiently. There will not be any coaches in the water to help swimmers in warmups, so if your child cannot swim by themselves we ask they do not participate in warmups. A few other things:
New Parent Meeting: There will be a meeting at 4:30 tomorrow for parents that are new to the team. This will help educate parents on how the meets will run.
Workers Meeting: Volunteers that have signed up to work the meet need to be at the pool at 5:15 for a workers meeting. Also, there are still some positions available for volunteers. If questions arise about volunteering please find Michael Jordan or Claude Hardy.
Swimmer Check-in: All swimmers must check in before warmups, there will be two check in tents outside the pool for check in. We ask that all 10 & Under swimmers have their name and their age written in sharpie on their back so it is easier for tent parents to line them up for their races. We will have an area set up for swimmers to look at their events and sharpies available for name writing.
Parents on the Pool deck: There is very limited space on the deck so we ask that swimmers sit under the pavilion and parents outside the fences. Parents can make their way to our designated viewing area by the diving well to watch their swimmer or by the lifeguard stand on the other side, but must return after their event is done. Parents that have little swimmers can have their swimmers sit with them but it is their responsibility to send their kids to the clerk of course. All swimmers must stay off the golf course.
Lastly, if your swimmer is on a relay please stay till the end of the meet for the relay. Failure to do so can jepordize your kids oppurtinities to be on relays in the future. Relays are a huge part of dual meet scoring so we want to make sure we score as many points as possible in those events.
