Hello GMST Families,

I hate to say it, but this is it! This is the (probably) the last email you’ll receive for the 2023 summer season. It has been the best so far! Let’s make sure and end things right. Read on for important information about this last week of summer.

Practice Schedule
Even though our competitions are done, we are still planning to host practices this week. These practices will be low key and include a ton of fun while we still get in some laps to close out the season. Here is the schedule for this week:

Monday Normal AM and PM practices
Tuesday Normal AM practices / Evening practices cancelled for the 8&Under Meet
Wednesday Normal AM practices / No PM practices
Thursday Normal AM practices / Evening practices cancelled for the Banquet
Friday No Practices!!

8&Under Meet
Tuesday we will be hosting our 8&Under Meet beginning at 5:30pm. Swimmers should plan to arrive by 4:45. If you already know you want to jump in to volunteer at this meet, we have scheduled volunteer roles for the event on our website. Head on over there and sign-up. We also have no age limit on our volunteer positions and would love the support from our older swimmers during this event. We encourage you and your swimmer to come on out, volunteer, and let’s make this a great event for our youngest swimmers and their families!

Banquet
This year we are hosting our banquet on Thursday, July 27 at 6pm at First Baptist Church Maryville (Address: 202 E Lamar Alexander Pkwy, Maryville). Our event is being catered by Buddy’s Bar-B-Q. We are asking for a $10 donation at the door for any non-swimmers attending the event. If you are planning to attend, please RSVP online so we can prepare accurately for seating and catering.

We cannot wait to celebrate the season and acknowledge our accomplishments in the pool. We couldn’t have done any of it without our amazing coaching staff! If you would like to show your appreciation to the coaches by bringing cards and/or gifts, we will have large gift bags available at the banquet for you to drop those into. In case you need help with spelling, here is the list of our coaching staff:
