We are on the downhill slide of our season, and we are getting prepared for our last few competitions.

GMST vs Knoxville Racquet Club
Our last regular season dual meet against KRC is this coming Tuesday, July 11

• Theme: GREEN OUT
• Location: 5535 Lonas Drive, Knoxville
• Arrive by 4:45 / Warm-ups at 5:00 / Volunteer meeting at 5:15 / Meet starts at 5:30
• Parking: There is parking located at the pool and at the indoor courts. Please do not double park or park in the grass. Once the lot is full you may park along Timbercrest, on the right-hand side headed toward Lonas. Please follow the street signs or ask for assistance if needed.
• Visitor Section: located to the left of the main pool entrance, under the pavilion. You are welcome to bring chairs, blankets, and tents.
• Food: Concessions and a full menu will be available at the Snack Shack. Bring cash.
• Volunteers still needed: Computer Entry (1^st shift) / Tent Parent (1^st shift) / Placer (2^nd shift) / Ribbons (2^nd shift) / Runner (2^nd shift)

GKAISA Championship Meet
City Meet is quickly approaching, and we are already working on the event details. Be sure to declare your swimmers by this Sunday, July 9 on our website. This will help us tremendously as we begin working on meet entry.

Also, if you plan to buy a parking pass or order t-shirts, please use this link to place your order. We must submit all orders together as a group. Orders and payment are due by Wednesday, July 12. Make checks out to GMST and be sure to mark your name somehow on all payments, including cash (we have sticky notes available at the pool if needed).

More detailed information about City Meet will be sent in the coming weeks.

Season Ending Events
We will be closing out our season with two fun events that you do not want to miss.

• 8 and Under Fun Meet – Tuesday, July 25 @5:30pm – If you have a swimmer in our 8U age group, be sure to come to this meet! This is for all 8U swimmers, regardless of skill level. We want to celebrate what they’ve accomplished and give them the chance to show off their new skills. Go online to register and learn more details.
• End of Season Banquet – Thursday, July 27 @6:00pm – Our banquet is being held indoors this year in First Baptist Church Maryville’s gymnasium. We are currently working through the details of this event and will send those out as soon as we can.

It’s hard to believe that we only have a few more weeks of summer swim fun left. Let’s make the most of it!
