Good Morning GMST Families,

We are so excited that you will be joining us in the pool this summer! The summer season is quickly approaching, and we are working hard to ensure this season is the best season yet. Here is some important information for you to get prepared as well.

Team Shirts and Suit

We always love seeing our swimmers in matching gear as we storm the pool deck together to take down the opposing team!! That statement might be a little dramatic  but it is great to see so many matching GMST shirts at the pool and floating around the community. Shirts and suits are optional, and you are free to purchase as many or as few and your family needs. Pokeys will be providing our shirts this season and can be purchased by using this link: https://gmst2023.itemorder.com/shop/home/

The deadline to order shirts is Thursday, May 11. All shirts will be printed together and delivered to the pool for pickup within the first few weeks of the season. The team suit for this season is called Puzzled by Arena (picture attached). You are welcome to purchase through your favorite online retailer or you may visit Swim and Tri in Knoxville. They will have these in stock for us for the season and Swim and Tri will also be available at Green Meadow pool during the New Swimmer Parent Meeting (see info below) for fittings and purchases.

New Swimmer Parent Meeting / Swim and Tri

If you are new to Green Meadow Swim Team in any way, we would love to invite you to an informational meeting on Sunday, May 21 at 2pm. This will give you the opportunity to meet the coach, see the pool, and ask any questions you may have for the season. Swim and Tri will also be available at the pool during this meeting to help you purchase any items you will need for the summer, like a suit or goggles. All families (new or not) are welcome to visit Swim and Tri during this time for fittings and purchases.

Preseason

We have preseason dates scheduled if you would like to get in the pool and get a jumpstart on the season. Each session is $10 paid by cash or check at the pool at the time of the session. Please visit our website to register for each session you plan to attend so the coaching staff can be prepared. These dates are:

Sunday, May 14, 2-3pm
Tuesday, May 16, 6-7pm
Thursday, May 18, 6-7pm
Sunday, May 21, 2-3pm (same time as New Parent Meeting / Swim and Tri)
Tuesday, May 23, 6-7pm
Thursday, May 25, 6-7pm
