    City Meet- Important Information

    Hi All-

Please see below for lots of important City Meet information.

Volunteer Positions: We are required to fill a number of assigned positions at City Meet. Spots have been posted in the RSVP area (where normal worker assignments can be found). We are required to fill all spots or are fined and lose points from our team. Please help us fill these worker positions all weekend! Note- All of our positions assigned give access to the deck so you will be able to watch your child swim from the deck!

Warm-Up Times: We are assigned the following warm up times for each day. Note that we have exactly 15 minutes in the pool, so we will want to walk into the pool as a team together and utilize our warm-up time efficiently. Please arrive at the pool and be under our tent by the time indicated.

Thursday-- Warm Up is at 2:00. Please be under the tent by 1:30pm.

Friday-- Warm Up is at 8:10am. Please be under the tent by 7:45am.

Team Tent: Our tent this year is a little bit larger than it was last year (YAY!) and in the same location as last year. The tent map is attached at 2022 Tent Map. You will want to bring blankets and chairs to sit under the tent. Please be respectful of others on the team and make sure everyone will fit.

City Meet Tips: We have put together a City Meet Survival Guide for parents that are new to City Meet (or as a refresher). Please see attached document for some tips and explanations of how the meet works. This is a very large meet and very different than our normal meets in the summer. Every swimmer is racing against their best time from the season and has the opportunity to show their improvement and to earn a spot to come back to race again on Saturday. The top 16 swimmers from each event come back on Saturday to race again!

Meet Themes: For Thursday and Friday, we want all of our swimmers to wear anything Green Meadow or Green! Let's show off that GREEN spirit! We will have Championship Team swim caps for every swimmer (Latex) that we will hand out following warm-ups each morning. Please have a cap for your swimmer to wear for warm-ups, but then they will have a team cap to wear during the rest of the meet. We love our swimmers to wear matching caps so we can see them and you can see them from the stands!

The Senior Group always pick and dress up (very elaborately) for a fun theme on Saturday of City Meet. The Senior Group has chosen Minions this year and will be dressing up in Minions theme on Saturday. Your swimmer is welcome to join them or wear their Green Meadow gear on Saturday!

Feel free to reach out with any questions as we gear up for City Meet! Go Green Wave!
